Ronan Dunne, 58, has been charged with causing over €10,000 in damage after allegedly ramming his car into the gates of Áras an Uachtaráin, the Irish President's residence. Dunne claimed he acted to seek help for his family, whom he believed were under criminal control; however, police found no evidence supporting this. He has been granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear in court again on October 18.
