Michael Reis, a 29-year-old from Omaha, was found guilty of distributing fentanyl that caused the death of a 4-year-old boy. The child died from fentanyl toxicity after consuming a pill his mother, Paris Hunt, obtained from Reis. He faces a minimum 20-year prison sentence set for January 2024. Reis is also awaiting sentencing for a separate sex trafficking case involving a minor. Hunt is set for trial on negligent child abuse charges in December.
