A study by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine reveals that alcohol industry-backed apps mislead users by providing inaccurate health information and promoting drinking. Analyzing 15 industry-funded apps against 10 independent tools, researchers found that the former often omitted risks associated with alcohol and framed messages to encourage drinking. These findings raise concerns about the transparency and reliability of such digital resources.
