Saskatchewan Party Leader Scott Moe and NDP Leader Carla Beck both pledge to maintain the small business tax at one percent and offer support programs for entrepreneurs.
Saskatchewan Party Leader Scott Moe has vowed to maintain the small business tax at one percent, instead of allowing it to increase to two percent next year if re-elected on October 28. He plans to introduce a $5,000 bursary for young entrepreneurs, facilitated through local chambers of commerce. Opposing leader Carla Beck of the NDP has also committed to keeping the tax at one percent and proposed a startup loan program of up to $40,000 for new businesses.
