Philip Galanis, a prominent Bahamian businessman and former parliamentarian, has died, reportedly from a heart attack. He served 15 years in Parliament and was Chairman of The Bahamas Trade Commission. Prime Minister Philip Davis mourned his loss, calling him a "progressive warrior" and a key figure in national development. Galanis was also the founder of HLB Galanis & Co and a former Managing Partner at Ernst & Young, contributing significantly to the accounting field.
