O'Reilly Oilfield Services Ltd., based in Alberta, was fined $90,000 for failing to ensure worker safety after a severe burn incident at an oil and gas site in July 2021. The fire ignited when liquid from a decommissioned pipeline overflowed from a flare stack. The Crown dropped five other charges against the company and 15 related to Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. Both parties have 30 days to appeal the ruling.
