Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched an advanced cybercrime command centre in Navi Mumbai as part of the Maharashtra Cyber Security Project. This initiative, aimed at enhancing online security, will train 5,000 police personnel annually and address rising cyber threats, particularly on platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook. A dedicated helpline, 14407, was also established, with the centre set to fully operate by October 15.
