Indian Coast Guard pilot Rana's body recovered a month after his helicopter crashed during a medical evacuation mission in the Arabian Sea.

The body of Indian Coast Guard pilot Rakesh Kumar Rana was recovered on October 10, over a month after his helicopter crashed in the Arabian Sea during a medical evacuation mission on September 2. The ALH MK-III helicopter, attempting to rescue an injured crew member from the tanker Hari Leela, went down off Porbandar, Gujarat. While two crew members' bodies were retrieved shortly after, Rana's remains were found 55 km southwest of the coast.
