Christopher Scrivens, a drug dealer from Ebbw Vale, was sentenced to three years in prison for importing cannabis and conspiracy to supply the drug. He aimed to "flood the valleys" with Californian cannabis and used proceeds to buy Banksy artworks, including the sculpture Grappling Hook. Alongside Scrivens, eight others were convicted. Police seized artworks valued at £190,000 and various luxury items during a raid in December 2019.
