This medication aids recovery and reduces future overdose risks. It has been used for opioid addiction treatment since 1966. The counties involved are Clallam, Spokane, Clark, Snohomish, San Juan, and Whatcom. Between 2018 and 2023, Washington recorded 9,251 opioid-related overdose deaths.
