Nokia and Costa Rican telecom RACSA have launched the country's first 5G standalone network, enhancing connectivity in urban areas like San Jose, Cartago, and Limon, as well as rural regions. The initial rollout includes 30 sites, with plans to expand to 170 by year's end and ultimately 500. This network aims to improve internet access and support IoT applications in sectors such as public safety and healthcare, fostering economic growth and digital inclusion.
