NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory finds possible evidence of a volcanic moon orbiting exoplanet WASP-49 b.

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has found possible evidence of a volcanic moon orbiting the exoplanet WASP-49 b, located 635 light-years away. This Saturn-sized gas giant shows a sodium cloud that appears slightly out of sync with the planet, hinting at an orbiting body. While no exomoons have been confirmed, the findings, first noted in 2017, suggest a volcanic moon similar to Jupiter's Io. Further research is needed to validate these observations.
