2025 Hong Kong-China CEPA agreement expands financial, tourism sectors' liberalization and market access.

Hong Kong's Chief Executive, John Lee, announced a new agreement with mainland China to enhance the competitiveness of the professional services sector. The Second Agreement on the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) introduces liberalization measures in key sectors like finance and tourism, easing market access for Hong Kong service suppliers. Effective from March 1, 2025, it allows Hong Kong laws for local enterprises and aims to boost trade and investment between the regions.
