16-year-old charged with attempted murder of Irish Army Chaplain in Galway; bail denied.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the attempted murder of Army Chaplain Fr. Paul Murphy in Galway, Ireland, following a stabbing incident on August 15. The teenager, whose identity is protected due to his age, had previously faced a lesser charge of assault, which was withdrawn. He has been remanded to Oberstown Detention Centre and will appear via video link in court next week. Bail cannot be applied for due to the nature of the charges.
