2nd human case of West Nile Virus reported in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York.

Clinton County, New York, has reported a second human case of West Nile Virus (WNV) in a Plattsburgh resident. The individual, under 50, showed symptoms on September 18 and is now recovering. Health officials warn about the risks of WNV and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), both transmitted by mosquitoes. Residents are advised to eliminate standing water and utilize mosquito repellent; free mosquito dunks are available.
