Calgary Flames forward Yegor Sharangovich has been placed on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury sustained during a preseason game against the Winnipeg Jets. The 26-year-old, who led the team with 31 goals last season, is considered week-to-week and will miss the season opener against the Vancouver Canucks. In his absence, Samuel Honzek will take his place alongside Nazem Kadri and Andrei Kuzmenko.
