U.S. authorizes $680m FMS for Italy's EA-37B mission system, first for a foreign operator.

The U.S. State Department has authorized a $680 million Foreign Military Sale to Italy for the Electronic Attack (EA)-37B mission system, enhancing Italy's defense capabilities and interoperability with the U.S. Air Force. The sale includes various subsystems and support services. Italy will be the first foreign operator of this classified system, aimed at disrupting enemy communications and improving NATO's collective security. Congress has been notified of the proposed deal.
