Steward Health Care, currently in bankruptcy, has announced the closure of Norwood Hospital in Massachusetts and four affiliated clinics by November 5. The hospital has been inactive since a severe flood in June 2020, and Steward will not renew its operating license. The state hopes a new operator will resume healthcare services, while Steward is coordinating patient transitions to other facilities and assisting affected employees.
