Philippine pastor Apollo Quiboloy, wanted for sex trafficking in the U.S., files to run in next year's Senate elections.

Apollo Quiboloy, a detained Philippine pastor and ally of former President Duterte, has filed to run in next year’s Senate elections despite being wanted in the U.S. for sex trafficking. Currently facing multiple charges, including child abuse and human trafficking, Quiboloy remains eligible to run as he has not been convicted. His lawyer claims he aims to address the country's issues. Legal disqualification only occurs after all appeals are exhausted following a conviction for "moral turpitude."
