A Nashville court ruled that bonding companies Brooke's Bail Bonding and On Time Bail Bonding did not break any rules in releasing Bricen Rivers, who allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Johansen, after his release. The judges acknowledged errors in the bonding process but attributed the failure to comply with conditions to systemic issues and Rivers' actions. They identified areas for improvement but chose not to suspend the companies' operations.
