Former FBI Director Louis Freeh has condemned the Australian Federal Police (AFP) for delays in a transnational bribery case against Getax Australia. Charged in 2020 with conspiring to bribe a foreign official between 2007 and 2012, Getax's lawyers enlisted Freeh to evaluate the AFP investigation. In a Brisbane District Court hearing, Freeh expressed his belief that the AFP's investigation was fundamentally flawed.
