Union Minister Satish Chandra Dubey inaugurated two coal handling projects in Jharkhand, the Karo and Konar Coal Handling Plants, worth ₹732 crore. With a combined capacity of 12 million tonnes per year, these plants will enhance coal logistics by providing direct rail links to thermal power plants, reducing loading times from five to one hour. The mechanized systems will also lower diesel consumption and pollution, promoting more sustainable operations.
