First responders Rhonda Chislaghi and Eric Barnwell held a small wedding ceremony on October 2, 2018, at their North Carolina station after Hurricane Helene disrupted their planned wedding at Glacier National Park. Choosing to focus on community recovery, they celebrated with colleagues and a chaplain. The couple, both with over 30 years of service, intends to reschedule their destination wedding for late October or early November.
