Japan's LDP and main opposition CDP extend leaders' debate from 45 to 80 minutes on October 9th.

On October 7th, Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and the main opposition Constitutional Democratic Party agreed to extend the upcoming party leaders' debate in the Diet from 45 to 80 minutes. This marks the first extension of its kind since February 2003. The debate is scheduled for October 9th and will feature LDP President and Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba alongside the leaders of opposition parties.
