Dockworkers at the Port of Montreal halt overtime work in ongoing contract negotiations.

Dockworkers at the Port of Montreal will stop all overtime work starting Thursday as a tactic in ongoing contract negotiations with the Maritime Employers Association. Representing nearly 1,200 longshore workers, the union claims management is "dragging its feet," particularly regarding scheduling. The workers have been without a contract since December 31. This action follows a three-day strike at two terminals handling 41% of the port's container traffic.
