Arms dealer Viktor Bout, released for Griner, reportedly negotiates $10m arms deal with Yemen's Houthi rebels.

Viktor Bout, the notorious Russian arms dealer known as the "Merchant of Death," has reportedly resumed arms trading following his release from a U.S. prison in a swap for basketball player Brittney Griner in December 2022. He is allegedly negotiating a $10 million deal to sell small arms to Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels. The arms, including AK-74 rifles, could be delivered as early as October, raising concerns about regional security.
