Last week, nine of India's top ten valued firms lost a combined ₹4.74 lakh crore in market valuation, primarily due to weak equity trends and escalating tensions in the Middle East. Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank faced the largest declines, losing ₹1.88 lakh crore and ₹72,919.58 crore, respectively. The BSE benchmark index fell by 4.53%, translating to a drop of 3,883.4 points, amid foreign fund outflows.
