16-inch water main break in Northwest Portland leads to discolored water warning and flooding.

A 16-inch water main break in Northwest Portland on Saturday morning prompted the Portland Water Bureau to warn residents against using tap water for drinking, cooking, or laundry due to discolored water. The break occurred at NW 29th and 31st Avenues, causing flooding and sediment contamination from the Bull Run Watershed. While 15 customers are without water, no boil water order has been issued, and crews are working on repairs with no estimated completion time.
