Cambodia plans to add wind power to its national grid by 2026, aiming for a 42% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050. This initiative, part of a broader energy transition strategy, excludes future coal-fired power plants. Six wind projects in Mondulkiri are projected to generate 900 megawatts, enhancing energy sustainability and affordability while attracting foreign investment. Access to electricity has reached 14,151 villages nationwide.
