77-year-old Greg Landry, former Detroit Lions quarterback and assistant coach, passed away.
Greg Landry, former Detroit Lions quarterback and assistant coach, has died at 77. Drafted in 1968, he played 11 seasons with the Lions and later for the Baltimore Colts and briefly with the Chicago Bears. Landry threw for 16,052 yards and 98 touchdowns, and was known as a skilled running quarterback. After retiring, he coached in the NFL and at the college level, including a stint with the Lions. The cause of death was not disclosed.
