While the dam and nearby trails remain safe, the accumulation of debris poses an environmental risk, potentially blocking the river and harming fish habitats. Metro Vancouver has engaged geotechnical engineers to assess the situation and devise strategies for both preventing future blockages and removing existing debris from the canyon.
