A serious car accident on Taftville-Occum Road in Norwich on Friday resulted in life-threatening injuries for three individuals, including a child. The vehicle collided with two trees before spinning and crashing. Two passengers escaped, while a third required 18 minutes of extrication by firefighters. All were initially taken to Backus Hospital, with two later transferred to Hartford and Connecticut Children's Hospitals. The Norwich Police are investigating.
