Thyssenkrupp's joint venture with Tata Steel blocked by EU Court on antitrust concerns.

Thyssenkrupp has lost its appeal against a European Union antitrust veto blocking its proposed joint venture with Tata Steel, as ruled by the Court of Justice of the European Union. The court upheld concerns that the deal could lead to price increases in the steel market. Despite this setback, Thyssenkrupp plans to proceed with a new 50:50 joint venture with Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky. The EU Commission has not yet responded to Thyssenkrupp's appeal.
