A suspect died in Temple, Texas, after a confrontation with police on October 3 during a welfare check. Officers, responding to reports of erratic behavior possibly due to narcotics, tased the suspect four times after he resisted arrest. He later became unconscious and was pronounced dead. The Texas Rangers and Temple Police are investigating the incident, and the officer who used the Taser has been placed on administrative leave. An autopsy is pending.
