Governor Tony Evers has appointed Chief Deputy Corey Dassow as the new Sheriff of Taylor County, Wisconsin, effective January 1, 2025, succeeding retiring Sheriff Larry Woebbeking. Dassow will complete Woebbeking's term until January 2027, with a focus on ensuring a smooth transition. Additionally, Clark County will also see a new sheriff as Scott Haines retires, with applications for that position due by October 11.
