A fire in Roanoke County's Hollins area on October 4 at 8:26 a.m. displaced two townhomes but resulted in no injuries. Roanoke County Fire and Rescue declared it a "working fire" due to heavy smoke and flames at the back of a townhouse. Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 20 minutes. The Roanoke County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause and assessing damage.
