Nova Scotia signs $25M contract with Airbus for 4 new helicopters for wildfire management.

Nova Scotia has signed a $25 million contract with Airbus to acquire four new helicopters for wildfire management, replacing an aging fleet that has become costly to maintain. The new aircraft will enhance water bombing, search and rescue, and aerial surveillance capabilities. The first helicopter is set for delivery next summer. This purchase is supported by a $25.6 million, five-year agreement with the federal government for training and firefighting equipment.
