The North Wales Medical School has officially opened at Bangor University, aiming to alleviate the local doctor shortage. Initially admitting 80 students, the school plans to increase enrollment to 140 annually by 2029-30. This initiative, a collaboration with Cardiff University, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, and the Welsh Government, seeks to enhance medical training and encourage graduates to practice in the region.
