Moody's predicts Asia-Pacific private credit market expansion, with assets under management reaching $120B in 2023.
Moody's Ratings forecasts ongoing expansion in the Asia-Pacific private credit markets, driven by economic growth and niche demand. As of late 2023, assets under management for lending to regional companies reached approximately $120 billion, doubling in four years. While the sector represents only 6-7% of global transactions, strong growth is anticipated, particularly in India’s real estate, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors, attracting risk-tolerant institutional investors.
