2M UK drivers advised to get international driving permits from PayPoint stores for £5.50.

The DVLA has advised approximately two million UK drivers traveling abroad that they may require an international driving permit (IDP), available at PayPoint stores for a £5.50 fee. IDPs are necessary in countries needing photographic ID or where a UK license alone is insufficient. There are three types of IDPs based on destination, and drivers must have a valid GB or Northern Ireland license and a recent passport photo to apply.
