2 ex-Metropolitan Police officers reinstated, receiving back pay, after successful appeal against lying accusation during stop and search of British sprinter Bianca Williams and her partner.

Two former Metropolitan Police officers, Jonathan Clapham and Sam Franks, have been reinstated and will receive back pay after successfully appealing a ruling that they lied during the stop and search of British sprinter Bianca Williams and her partner Ricardo Dos Santos. The Police Appeals Tribunal deemed the original disciplinary decision "irrational" and "inconsistent," following accusations of racial profiling from the athletes during the incident on July 4, 2020.
