Anand Sreedharan, a 50-year-old motorcyclist from Princeton, New Jersey, died on September 30 in a collision with a moose on Interstate 95 in Maine. The accident occurred around 7 p.m. when the moose crossed into his lane, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle. Both Sreedharan and the moose died from the incident. Maine State Police are investigating, and this was the second fatal moose-related crash in the state this year.
