Lagos State secures €120m from Dutch gov't for waste-to-energy project with Harvest Waste.

Lagos State, Nigeria, has secured €120 million from the Dutch government to support a waste-to-energy initiative with Harvest Waste Consortium. This project will convert 2,500 to 3,000 tons of waste daily at the Epe landfill, part of a broader strategy to manage Lagos' 13,000 to 14,000 tons of daily waste. The aim is to reduce landfill waste to 3-4% by promoting sustainability and turning waste into valuable resources.
