The Australian government is launching a three-year national audit to identify mobile phone reception black spots in regional areas. Over 30 Australia Post vehicles will drive 180,000 kilometers, using signal strength measuring devices to assess coverage from Optus, Telstra, and TPG across 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. The initiative, part of the $1.1 billion Better Connectivity Plan, aims to provide accurate data to target future investments in mobile infrastructure.
