On October 2, a single-engine Cessna piloted by 41-year-old Jordan Seth Faught made an emergency landing at Hickory Regional Airport in North Carolina due to a mechanical failure. Faught had just delivered storm-relief supplies for Hurricane Helene in Avery County and was unharmed in the incident. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol secured the scene, and the FAA will investigate the cause of the failure.
