A 17-year-old girl died and two other teens were critically injured in a car crash in Montgomery County, Maryland, on October 2. The vehicle struck a light pole at Norwood Road and Nesbitt Farm Lane around 8 a.m. All three victims are students from Sherwood High School. The cause of the crash, which has raised longstanding safety concerns among neighbors, is under investigation, with a post-crash assessment planned by MDOT.
