Brian Ravening, a subcontractor, is implicated in a fraud and corruption case involving road maintenance contracts in New Zealand. He pleaded guilty to charges of obtaining by deception (approximately $631,000) and corruptly giving gifts (around $615,000). In June, he was sentenced to 12 months of home detention and ordered to pay $300,000 in reparations. The Serious Fraud Office is also investigating former Broadspectrum manager Jason Koroheke in relation to the case.
