State Bank of India (SBI) plans to open 600 new branches in FY25, targeting emerging areas like large residential townships. This follows the addition of 137 branches in the previous year, bringing its total to 22,542. SBI aims to innovate its offerings, including a product that combines recurring deposits with Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs), to attract more depositors and enhance customer engagement in response to growing economic demand.
