A minor earthquake measuring 0.9 on the Richter scale was recorded off the coast of Culdaff Bay, Donegal, Ireland, early Tuesday morning. Detected by equipment at St Columba's College, part of the Seismology in Schools project, the event is typical for the seismically active region. The Irish National Seismic Network noted that the largest recorded quake in Ireland was a magnitude 2.5 in January 2012, also in Donegal.
