Ian Hislop, editor of the satirical magazine Private Eye, was unharmed in a gun attack on October 1 in Soho, London. A bullet struck the rear window of his taxi while it was stopped on Dean Street, close to the magazine's office. The Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident, reviewing CCTV footage, and have not established a motive. Hislop has led Private Eye since 1986 and is also known for his role on BBC's "Have I Got News For You."
